St. Gabriel Church
Mass of Christian Burial 12 p.m.

The Funeral Liturgy is one of the most beautiful and meaningful celebrations of the Church and is almost always celebrated within a Mass. When a funeral occurs at one of our parishes on a day that parish hosts daily Mass, oftentimes the daily Mass is then the Mass of Christian Burial. All parishioners are invited to attend, as it is a good way to celebrate Mass and honor the bodily remains of someone within our parish.

All the baptized are entitled to the full Rite of Christian Burial. We offer the Sacrifice of the Mass for the soul of the deceased in the whole context of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. In addition, we offer special Mass intentions as prayers of intercession and thanksgiving in and through the Eucharist. To offer a Mass for someone who has recently died, please contact the respective parish office of the Mass location.
