    Sponsor Covenant
    As a Confirmation sponsor, your role is to encourage the faith of, be an example for, and reflect on the meaning of a life of Catholic discipleship with your Candidate. The Code of Canon Law (Church law) specifies the requirements of serving as a sponsor at Confirmation (Canon 893) as the same as those for godparents at Baptism (Canon 874): You may not be the parent of the person being Confirmed; you must be at least 16 years of age; you must be fully initiated through Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist; if married, you must have a valid Catholic marriage; and live a life of active faith in the Catholic Church.

    By completing the form below, you are stating that you are active in the Catholic Church, fully initiated into the Catholic Church, regularly attend Mass on Sunday and strive to live your life by faith. To the best of your ability and through the Christian example of your daily life, you promise to support, encourage, pray for, and guide your candidate.
